Honoring Our Roots. Healing Our Communities.

About
Project Healing The Hood
Project Healing the Hood is a nonprofit organization committed to uplifting families and rebuilding communities through entrepreneurship, education, and empowerment.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to provide parents with the tools and support they need to thrive, while creating safe, nurturing spaces for children to grow in purpose and creativity.
For Parents:
We help parents turn their dreams into reality by guiding them through the process of starting and scaling businesses. This includes financial literacy education, business credit building, grant access, and funding strategies. Parents gain the skills to profit, sustain their households, and create legacies of wealth and stability.
For Children:
Our children's programs are rooted in creativity, culture, and community.
-
Our Sacred Sons empowers boys through workshops, field days, and artistic expression—teaching life skills like music, film, creative writing, and sewing, while nurturing imagination, discipline, and leadership.

Dricey's Girls, founded in honor of Cedrice "Dricey" Barnes, uplifts young girls by grounding them in love and helping them blossom in power. The program provides mentorship, creative arts education, and healing-centered activities. A portion of proceeds also directly supports Dricey's children, carrying forward her legacy of love and resilience.
Looking Ahead with Dricey's Girls:
In the future, Dricey's Girls will expand its mission by providing proceeds to children who have lost a parent or whose parent is incarcerated. This extension of the program ensures that love, guidance, and opportunity continue to reach those who need it most. By creating pathways for stability and support, we honor the resilience of children navigating hardship and affirm that no child should feel forgotten in their journey toward blossoming in power.
